Saed News: After Russia launched a series of missile strikes on military targets in Kyiv and other areas following a week of continuous attacks by Ukrainian drones using hundreds of UAVs, Donald Trump claimed that Moscow had targeted Ukraine “for no reason” and that Putin had “gone crazy.”

Trump's Claim: Putin Has Gone Completely Crazy for No Reason!

According to Saed News, U.S. President Donald Trump wrote in a message on the social media platform Truth Social:
"I’ve always had a very good relationship with Vladimir Putin (President of Russia), but something has happened to him. He’s completely gone crazy!”

Trump went on to claim:
“He is killing a lot of people for no reason, and I don’t just mean soldiers. Missiles and drones are being fired at Ukrainian cities without any reason. I’ve always said he wants all of Ukraine, not just a part of it — and maybe now that’s proving to be true. But if he does that, it will lead to Russia’s downfall!”

The U.S. President also said that Volodymyr Zelensky, President of Ukraine, is not doing his country any favors with the way he speaks.

Trump wrote:
“Everything that comes out of his (Zelensky’s) mouth causes trouble. I don’t like that, and it needs to stop. This war would never have started if I were president. This war belongs to Zelensky, Putin, and Biden — not Trump. I’m only trying to help extinguish the big and ugly fires that have been ignited due to extreme incompetence and hatred.”

The President also previously stated that he does not endorse Russia’s recent actions in Ukraine and is considering additional sanctions against Russia.

Speaking to reporters at Morristown Airport in New Jersey on his way to Washington, Trump confirmed he is “definitely” considering further sanctions against Russia.

He added that he is not pleased with Putin’s actions, though he reminded that he’s always had a good relationship with the Russian leader. He further called Russia’s actions in Ukraine “irrational.”

These remarks come as Ukraine significantly escalated its drone attacks inside Russia last week — with at least 764 drones intercepted over Russian territory between Tuesday and Friday, and hundreds more destroyed over the weekend. According to reports, a helicopter carrying President Vladimir Putin was caught in the center of a massive drone attack during his visit to the Kursk region on Tuesday.

In response, the Russian military launched a major strike on Saturday against a drone and missile production facility in Kyiv, followed by additional attacks on Ukrainian military facilities on Sunday.

The Russian Foreign Ministry stated that the uptick in drone attacks was an attempt to derail peace talks between Moscow and Kyiv mediated by the United States, while Sergey Lavrov, Russia’s Foreign Minister, said that “certain European countries led by the UK, France, Germany, and the EU leadership” — all of whom support Kyiv and want the conflict to continue — are partially responsible for the drone attacks.

According to Russia Today, meanwhile, Russia and Ukraine completed an unprecedented prisoner exchange that had been agreed upon during direct negotiations in Turkey earlier this month. Lavrov previously stated that once the exchange was completed, both sides would exchange draft ceasefire proposals.
