Critics of Charlie Kirk Are Being Doxxed and Punished (At Least 15 People Have Already Lost Their Jobs)

According to Saed News; In the turbulent days following the killing of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk, a sweeping campaign of online intimidation has targeted critics across the United States. At least 15 people have already been suspended or fired from their jobs for remarks they made online, according to a Reuters review based on interviews, public records, and press reports.

A Campaign Fueled by Rage

What began as scattered outrage on social media quickly evolved into a coordinated digital offensive. Activists associated with the far right began publishing the names, photos, and employment details of individuals who expressed little sympathy for Kirk’s death. Those singled out include teachers, journalists, academic workers, military employees, and even a junior Nasdaq staffer who was dismissed on Friday after posting critical comments.

Many of those targeted have reported being bombarded with abusive messages, prank calls to their workplaces, and public demands for dismissal. For some, the repercussions have been immediate and devastating.

Leading the Charge: “Libs of TikTok”

At the forefront of the campaign is Chaya Raichik, the controversial figure behind the “Libs of TikTok” account, who has long been associated with anti-immigrant rhetoric. Raichik reposted a California State University lecturer’s Instagram story in which he questioned sympathy for Kirk, linking it to America’s ongoing epidemic of school shootings. By amplifying the lecturer’s comments, she unleashed a wave of outrage that has since spread to educators across multiple states, from California and Florida to Pennsylvania and Texas.

Several universities and school districts have suspended or dismissed staff over similar remarks, prompting union leaders to warn that legitimate free speech is under siege.

Beyond Teachers: Military and Media Workers Targeted

The campaign has not stopped at academia. A Coast Guard employee is currently under investigation for sharing a meme dismissing Kirk’s death, while a former Twitter worker was singled out for criticizing the New York Yankees’ decision to hold a moment of silence.

Meanwhile, a newly registered website called “Expose Charlie’s Murderers” has begun publishing lists of individuals accused of “supporting political violence.” As of this week, the site has named 41 people and claims to be processing more than 20,000 submissions. Screenshots reviewed by Reuters show a mix of genuine celebratory comments and remarks critical of Kirk but explicitly opposed to violence.

Institutional Consequences

Several institutions have already acted against employees caught up in the controversy. Middle Tennessee State University dismissed an assistant dean after she wrote online: “Looks like ol’ Charlie spoke his fate into existence. Hate begets hate. ZERO sympathy.”

Her words referenced Kirk’s controversial 2023 defense of gun rights, where he argued that some gun deaths were an acceptable cost of preserving the Second Amendment.

Others have found that even quoting Kirk’s own words was enough to trigger retaliation from far-right activists.

Republican Response

For many Republican figures, the campaign does not go far enough. Some have suggested deporting Kirk’s critics, suing them into financial ruin, or banning them from social media permanently.

Conspiracy theorist and Trump ally Laura Loomer warned: “Prepare to have your whole future professional aspirations ruined if you are sick enough to celebrate his death.”

U.S. Congressman Clay Higgins called for anyone who mocked Kirk’s killing to be “banned from ALL PLATFORMS FOREVER.” Even Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau weighed in, directing consular officials to take “appropriate action” against those praising or trivializing the event.

A Double Standard?

Critics argue that the far right’s calls for accountability are riddled with hypocrisy. Only two years earlier, when Nancy Pelosi’s husband, Paul, was brutally assaulted in his San Francisco home, many of the same figures mocked or downplayed the violence. Kirk himself had called on TV for the attacker to be bailed out of jail, joking that such a move would make someone a “midterm hero.”

The Broader Question: Free Speech at Risk

The wave of doxxing, firings, and online abuse highlights a growing tension in American society: how to balance free speech with accountability in a hyper-polarized digital age. For those caught in the crossfire, the consequences are immediate and life-changing.

As far-right activists continue to escalate their campaign, unions, civil rights groups, and free speech advocates warn of a chilling effect that may silence not only harsh critics but anyone questioning the legacy of Charlie Kirk.
