SAEDNEWS: Conservative political activist Abbas Solimi-Namin stresses the need for national unity during Iran’s current economic and geopolitical pressures, urging that even accurate criticisms be voiced privately to prevent internal division.
Abbas Solimi-Namin, a conservative political activist, spoke to Etemad Online about recent hardliner attacks on Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, emphasizing the importance of timing in political discourse. He said that even completely accurate issues might be acceptable or unacceptable depending on the current circumstances.
"At this moment, we must understand that this government faces unprecedented sanctions and, despite inhumane pressures from the West, manages the country," he said.
He added that Iran is also confronting challenges from the Zionist regime. Previously, hostility was mostly indirect, but now it is direct. Although the aggressors have failed in their objectives, they may attempt new moves against Iran’s scientific, economic, and military capabilities.
Solimi-Namin stressed that, more than ever, national unity is required. Statements that create division serve foreign interests. Foreign powers rely on internal discord to undermine Iran’s capabilities. If the Iranian people remain united, such schemes will fail.
During the 12-day aggression against Iran, the aggressors expected some internal factions to assist them, including monarchists, former SAVAK members, and separatist groups. However, this expectation was wrong, as the nation remained cohesive.
He noted that some members of parliament might think it is appropriate to raise certain issues simply because they are correct, but the timing may not be suitable. Even accurate statements can weaken the government if presented publicly at the wrong time.
Finally, Solimi-Namin concluded that well-intentioned advice should be delivered privately and discreetly to strengthen the government and demonstrate national solidarity, showing that enemies are powerless against a united Iran.
