Iran Denies Negative Stance on Afghan Migrants Despite Mass Deportations

SAEDNEWS: Eskandar Momeni reassured that Iran holds no hostile attitude towards Afghan nationals despite the recent deportation of over one million unauthorized migrants, noting a 6% drop in bread transactions. The ceremony also paid tribute to families of martyrs killed in recent Israeli missile attacks, including a journalist from IRIB.

According to Saed News citing IRNA, On Sunday, Eskandar Momeni, during a meeting with media representatives to commemorate Journalist Day at the Ministry of Interior, stated that Iran has never held and does not hold any negative or antagonistic attitude toward foreign nationals.

He referred to the departure of 1.1 million unauthorized Afghan nationals from Iran, noting that following their exit, bread purchase transactions decreased by six percent.

At the same event, the family of the martyr Commander Mohammad Bagheri, who attained martyrdom during the missile attacks and aggressive acts of the brutal Zionist regime, was honored.

Additionally, the family of martyr Nima Rajabpour, a journalist and editor-in-chief of the IRIB News Network, who was killed in the savage Israeli attack on the IRIB’s glass building, was also recognized.
