SAEDNEWS: Taking Neurobion—especially via injection—without medical guidance can cause nerve damage, allergic reactions, liver problems, and delay the diagnosis of underlying conditions.
According to Atefeh Golhasani, an internal medicine specialist, Neurobion—a combination of B vitamins B1, B6, and B12—supports nerve function, energy production, and muscle health. Yet a common belief, especially among some athletes, is that injections boost energy, build muscle, or reduce fatigue—claims with no solid scientific backing.
Golhasani warns that unsupervised use, particularly injectable forms, can cause serious side effects, including nerve damage (tingling, numbness, pain), allergic reactions, liver issues, delayed diagnosis of underlying conditions, and in rare cases, lung cancer or anaphylactic shock.
Neurobion is only recommended for specific conditions such as confirmed B vitamin deficiencies, certain neuropathies, B12-related anemia, or digestive disorders affecting nutrient absorption. Healthy individuals with a balanced diet typically do not need injections. Oral forms like tablets and capsules are safer and often sufficient.
B vitamins can usually be obtained through foods such as meat, poultry, fish, eggs, dairy, legumes, whole grains, leafy greens, nuts, and seeds. Golhasani emphasizes that lifestyle, proper sleep, and balanced nutrition are far safer than frequent, unsupervised injections.
“Neurobion is not an energy booster or miracle for muscle growth,” she concludes. “Medical guidance is essential—public awareness and avoiding self-medication remain the best ways to protect health.”
