It said that the continuation of this biased approach has discredited the global human rights project and highlighted the need for fundamental reforms in the international legal system.
The statement said: “August 5 is the International Day of Islamic Human Rights and Human Dignity, which was adopted by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in 1990. This day is not only an opportunity to commemorate the profound teachings of Islam on human dignity, but also a time to reflect on the international legal system and its performance in the face of humanitarian tragedies.”
