SAEDNEWS: A parliamentarian highlighted that the delegation will hold meetings and discussions with the speaker of the Iraqi Parliament and several other Iraqi officials.

A spokesperson for Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee has announced that a delegation of commission members is in Iraq to enhance security and political cooperation.

Speaking to reporters on Sunday, Ebrahim Rezaei, the spokesperson, said that the delegation arrived in Baghdad to follow up on previous agreements between the two sides.

The Iranian delegation was welcomed at Baghdad Airport by Al-Mohammadi, the head of the Defense and Security Committee of the Iraqi Parliament.

Rezaei said that the Iranian delegation paid homage to the martyrs of the resistance, commemorating the memory of Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani and Iraqi commander Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis.

He also noted that the parliamentary delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran also has a meeting with officials from the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran at the embassy premises.

Rezaei highlighted that during their visit, the parliamentary delegation will hold meetings and discussions with the speaker of the Iraqi Parliament and several other Iraqi officials.

The meetings will revolve around reviewing the current state of relations between the two countries.
