SAEDNEWS: Vice President Zahra Behrouz Azar said that undocumented foreign nationals are leaving the country without issues, emphasizing Iran’s commitment to ensuring their dignified and orderly departure.
An Iranian official says undocumented foreign nationals leaving the country face no major issue at the border as the administration is committed to facilitating a smooth and orderly exit for those it can no longer accommodate.
Vice President for Women and Family Affairs Zahra Behrouz-Azar made the remarks on Saturday as she visited the Iran-Afghanistan Dogharoun border crossing in Razavi Khorasan Province, northeastern Iran.
After observing the departure process at the border, she said the current conditions in Iran are unsuitable for undocumented migrants, who are now exiting the country with full dignity.
The official said the 12-day war of aggression launched by Israel and the United States last month led to a surge in voluntary departures of undocumented migrants from Iran.
She said the situation on the Iranian side of the border with Afghanistan was stable and that there were no major disruptions in the departures. However, she noted that those crossing the border were facing some issues on the Afghan side.
