SAEDNEWS: Israeli media described the ambush in Beit Hanoun late on Monday as “unprecedented and complex” calling it one the bloodiest blows inflicted on the occupation army in Gaza.
A poster in Arabic and Hebrew published on Hamas movement’s information website on Tuesday, Qassam reacted to the operation in Gaza’s Beit Hanoun last night that left at least six Israeli soldiers dead and over 15 others injured.
“Scenes of corpses and funerals will become a regular occurrence,” read the poster with a background depicting an ambushed Israeli tank.
The poster, titled “We will crush the awe of your army,” features a quote of Abu Obeida, the spokesman for the al-Qassam Brigades, who said two weeks ago that “Funerals and corpses of Israeli soldiers will remain a permanent scene, if the enemy’s aggression and criminal war against our nation continues.”
“Unparalleled act of bravery and courage,” he said after resistance fighters hit an armored vehicle in the southern city of Khan Younis on June 25, killing seven Israeli soldiers, including an officer.
Meanwhile, the Israeli media described the ambush in Beit Hanoun late on Monday as “unprecedented and complex,” saying it was reminiscent of the Khan Yunis incident and one of the bloodiest blows inflicted on the occupation army since the beginning of the war.
Reports say that an Israeli tank was first targeted with a bomb and then a team that was dispatched to the scene was caught in the trap of the second and third explosions one after the other.
Israeli military sources have confirmed the causalities among the Netzah Yehuda Battalion that had previously been accused of grave human rights violation in the occupied West Bank.
