Israel’s Impunity Invalidates U.N. Charter; Aggression Against Iran Must Be Condemned: Diplomat

According to Saednews, Iran’s Accredited Ambassador to the Slovak Republic Assadollah Eshraq-Jahromi has warned that the continued impunity of Israel undermines the core principles of the United Nations Charter.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Pravda newspaper, Eshraq-Jahromi reaffirmed that Iran’s nuclear program remains entirely peaceful, emphasizing that the Islamic Republic has never pursued the militarization of its nuclear capabilities.

Israel launched an unprovoked war of aggression against Iran on June 13, attacking military, nuclear, and civilian sites in Tehran and other cities. The United States, Israel’s main ally and arms supplier, joined the war on June 22 by bombing three major nuclear facilities in Iran.

The ambassador called on the international community, especially the United Nations and the International Atomic Energy Agency (I.A.E.A.), to take a firm stance and condemn the recent acts of aggression against Iran.

Unlike Israel, which is not a signatory to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (N.P.T.), Iran remains a committed member and a cooperative partner under international frameworks, he pointed out.

“All of Iran’s nuclear facilities are under full I.A.E.A. supervision and undergo regular, rigorous inspections under the Comprehensive Safeguards Agreement,” he noted, adding that repeated reports by the Agency have confirmed the absence of any deviation from peaceful purposes.
