SAEDNEWS: The vast majority of attacks on Tehran and Karaj were carried out from the direction of the Caspian Sea, utilizing the airspace of Iran's northern neighbor, the Republic of Azerbaijan.
According to Saed News, Kayhan newspaper wrote in its special news column:
The vast majority of attacks on Tehran and Karaj were carried out from the direction of the Caspian Sea, utilizing the airspace of Iran's northern neighbor, the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Most of the Zionist regime’s attacks on the country took place in Tehran, which indicates that something must be done regarding this northern neighbor to prevent facing a similar situation in the future.
One day after the Zionist regime’s attacks on Iranian territory and the martyrdom of our senior commanders, Jeyhun Bayramov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, expressed condolences in a phone call with Abbas Araghchi, and emphasized: “The Republic of Azerbaijan will by no means allow its airspace or territory to be used for attacks on Iran or other countries.”
However, following the publication of some reports and speculations about the Zionist regime’s use of Azerbaijani territory in its attack on Iran, the President of Iran, in a telephone conversation with his Azerbaijani counterpart, called for an investigation and verification of reports regarding the intrusion of Zionist regime drones and micro-aircraft into Iranian airspace through Azerbaijan's territorial space.
In this regard, Mehdi Sobhani, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Armenia, warned that if it is confirmed that Israel used Azerbaijani territory to violate Iranian sovereignty, Tehran would consider it a serious breach and expects Baku to provide an official and transparent response.
He stated: “We do not confirm some of the information and reports published by certain sources. After all circumstances become clear, we will decide how to respond to the issue.”
In addition to the Republic of Azerbaijan, which is suspected of having its territory used for the entry of drones, micro-aircraft, or fighter jets of the Zionist regime into Iranian soil, other attacks have also been launched against Iran from the territory of some neighboring countries.
Preliminary investigations show that attacks on Tabriz and surrounding areas entered Iran through northern Iraq. Similarly, the attacks on Khorramabad and Kermanshah, due to their proximity to the border, were primarily carried out from Iraqi territory.
