We Have No Meeting Scheduled With The Americans

According to Saed News, Ebrahim Rezaei provided details of Sunday’s session of the Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, which was attended by Deputy Foreign Minister Takht-Ravanchi. The session aimed to review the Foreign Ministry’s actions since the beginning of the Zionist regime’s aggression.

Rezaei stated that Takht-Ravanchi emphasized the massive and passionate funeral processions for the martyrs of power in Tehran, saying this showed the people's support for the revolution and unity during this period.

He added that Takht-Ravanchi mentioned some foreign officials had urged Iran to pursue diplomacy. In response, he said the aggression occurred while diplomacy was ongoing, even before the sixth round of negotiations with the U.S.

Takht-Ravanchi explained that although Iran always supported diplomacy, the recent martyrdom of numerous civilians, commanders, and scientists had fueled public anger toward the West and its support for aggression. He questioned what guarantees exist to prevent the U.S. from once again abandoning negotiations midway.

He also strongly criticized European and Western countries for not condemning the Israeli regime’s aggression. He recalled that when Israel attacked Iraq’s nuclear facilities in 1981, the UN Security Council condemned it via Resolution 487—but now, due to Western pressure, no such condemnation has occurred.

Rezaei noted that Takht-Ravanchi referenced Iran’s recent Geneva talks with the E3 (France, Germany, UK), which were held at their request. He said the Europeans cannot play a significant role in lifting sanctions, and the U.S. doesn’t value them either.

The deputy minister also pointed out that during the emergency OIC meeting in Istanbul, 57 Islamic countries unanimously condemned the aggression by Israel and the U.S.—a major diplomatic achievement.

On negotiations with the U.S., Takht-Ravanchi affirmed that “we have no meetings scheduled with the Americans.” He also dismissed Trump’s recent statements as untrue.

He added that Russia and China have stood by Iran in condemning the aggression.

Regarding the parliamentary bill requiring the suspension of cooperation with the IAEA, Takht-Ravanchi emphasized that this must be implemented as it is the law of the land.

Rezaei mentioned that commission members insisted on pursuing legal action for damages against the Israeli regime and stressed the need for coordination between diplomacy and field efforts. Some members also praised the Foreign Ministry’s efforts during this period.

The commission also reaffirmed support for continued uranium enrichment and suggested conditioning talks with Europe on their condemnation of the aggression.

Members urged the Foreign Ministry to adopt firmer stances and called for Iranian diplomats to work to expose the Israeli regime internationally, stressing mistrust toward Europe.

Additionally, the session included criticism of Azerbaijan’s stance amid the Israeli regime’s aggression and its role in the recent war.

Finally, most commission members criticized recent remarks by Iran’s UN envoy, asserting that they do not reflect the official position of the Islamic Republic.
