SAEDNEWS: The government spokesman stated that the Zionist regime made a strategic miscalculation and has paid the price for it. He emphasized: What the Zionist regime initially announced as strategic objectives has now effectively turned into a failure.
According to Saednews, Fatemeh Mohajerani, the government spokesperson, stated in an interview with Al Mayadeen that Israel has by no means achieved its war objectives. She said: "What the Zionist regime initially declared as its strategic goals has in practice turned into military, security, and international failures. Not only does the Islamic Republic of Iran maintain its defensive and deterrent power, but the national will to preserve independence, security, and sovereignty has been further strengthened. As we have repeatedly stated, the Zionist regime made a strategic miscalculation and paid the price for it."
She emphasized: "The Israeli claims about having destroyed all of Iran’s air defenses are mainly for domestic consumption and to soothe public opinion within the Zionist regime. Iran’s defensive capability is a deep, multi-layered structure based on indigenous and national capacities. What happened on the ground demonstrated that Iran possesses a high level of preparedness and the ability to deliver both symmetric and asymmetric responses. As our Foreign Ministry stated, Iran’s response was 'firm, legitimate, and deterrent.'"
Mohajerani added: "The Islamic Republic of Iran’s nuclear program will continue within peaceful objectives. What will not stop is the will of the Iranian people to achieve advanced technologies on the path of national development."
She continued: "The report prepared by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)—or more specifically by Mr. Grossi—paved the way for the resolution that European countries submitted to the IAEA Board of Governors. After the brutal attacks on our nuclear facilities, the IAEA not only failed to condemn these actions, but even its Director General—who should represent the enforcement of the NPT and the guarantee of peaceful use of nuclear energy—refused to personally condemn the attacks."
The government spokesperson added: "As a result, the Iranian Parliament approved a bill to suspend relations with the IAEA, which has been confirmed by the Guardian Council and is now law. It is binding for us, and there is no hesitation in implementing it."
She stated: "From now on, our relationship and cooperation with the IAEA will take a new form. The law passed by Parliament has clarified the course, though it has not closed the door entirely—it leaves the final decision to the Supreme National Security Council."
Speaking about the conduct of European countries, Mohajerani said: "Some European countries contacted us early on, urging a return to diplomacy, but we made it clear that we had never left that path, and the other side was the one who initiated the war. The double standards of some Western countries and their meaningful silence in the face of Israeli aggression have severely damaged the credibility of their human rights claims and international law. In reality, this 'silence or implicit support' by certain powers makes them complicit in war crimes. We expect countries that seek peace, stability, and respect for international law to adopt independent, fair, and responsible positions."
She added: "History and experience have shown that the Zionist regime cannot be trusted to uphold its commitments. However, the Islamic Republic of Iran, relying on its national power, is fully prepared for any scenario or potential threat. We are not the initiators of war, nor will we back down from legitimate defense. Iran’s national security is our red line, and any threat will be met with a decisive response."
The government spokesperson concluded: "The message of the Islamic Republic of Iran is one of peace, regional cooperation, and opposition to unilateralism and occupation. We call on all countries to strengthen diplomacy, mutual respect, and cooperation based on shared interests. The recent imposed war has shown that adventurous policies and reliance solely on militarism do not bring security—they only increase instability. Today, Iran stands alongside the nations of the region to establish a just, lasting peace based on dignity and human values."
