Saednews: A member of the Presidium of the Islamic Consultative Assembly announced the receipt of a proposal to suspend Iran’s cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency in the parliamentary session.
According to Saed News, Rouhollah Motafakker Azad spoke about the approvals made today, Monday, June 22nd, in the session of the Islamic Consultative Assembly (Parliament). He said: Previously, in the meeting of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Parliament, the plan for punishing collaborators with hostile forces during wartime was reviewed and approved. This plan targets those who have unknowingly fallen into the enemy’s trap, and the Islamic Republic has devised measures to bring them back to the embrace of the nation.
The member of the Parliament’s presidium added: Last week, the urgency of a plan to increase punishments for collaborators with hostile foreign governments was approved. In today’s session, colleagues unanimously approved the general outlines of this plan without any opposition, and its details in nine articles were passed by the Parliament. The government’s representative also agreed with this plan.
He added: According to this plan, punishments have been determined for those who collaborate with hostile forces and the Zionist regime.
Regarding the announcement of the submission of a plan in today’s session, the member said: Today, in the Parliament’s session, the proposal to suspend Iran’s cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency was officially submitted, and the process of reviewing it will take place in the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission.
He emphasized: If this plan is approved and finalized in Parliament, Iran’s cooperation with the Agency will be suspended.
