Saed News: The spokesperson for Iran's Foreign Ministry, referring to the fact that the Zionist regime’s aggressions against Iran were carried out with U.S. approval, emphasized that all the people of Iran are ready to defend their country. He stated, “Whoever attacks us, we will respond to them and defend ourselves.”

Foreign Ministry Spokesperson: Whoever Attacks Us, We Will Respond to Them.

According to Saed News, quoting IRNA, Esmail Baghaei, spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry, stated in an interview with Al Jazeera:

“We are under illegal attack by the Zionist regime. We are defending ourselves against blatant aggression. Our residential areas and hospitals are being bombed by the Zionist regime, and hundreds have been martyred in these assaults.”

Baghaei added:

“Our nuclear facilities were bombed by the Zionist regime. This aggression constitutes a violation of international peace and security. We are heirs to thousands of years of civilization and are defending ourselves—we have no choice but to do so. All Iranians are ready to defend the country. Whoever attacks us, we will respond and defend ourselves.”

The Foreign Ministry spokesperson emphasized:

“We have strong relations with countries around the world and have called on the UN Security Council to fulfill its responsibilities. However, the Council has failed to act effectively due to the obstructive stance of certain members. The Security Council must take immediate measures to stop Israel’s aggression.”

In another part of the interview, Baghaei said:

“Negotiations with the United States have been suspended due to Israel’s aggression. This attack would not have occurred without U.S. approval. We were on a diplomatic path, and Israel, with American support, launched the war. The international community cannot afford to bear the consequences of a dangerous war. It must take steps to stop Israeli attacks on nuclear facilities. No one has the right to target another country's nuclear infrastructure. We are taking necessary steps to protect our citizens. Attacking civilian areas is a barbaric act.”

Baghaei also emphasized:

“Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, must fulfill his responsibilities. His delayed remarks regarding our facilities gave Israel a pretext to attack. The IAEA’s position on our nuclear program is irresponsible. Israel’s actions against our nuclear infrastructure are illegal and could have dangerous consequences.”

He continued:

“The international community, including Security Council members, must fulfill their duties. We are pressuring the Security Council to act and stop the aggressor. The United Nations and Security Council must do their jobs.”

He added:

“We rely on ourselves—our soldiers, commanders, and all citizens. Israel is a bloodthirsty apartheid regime imposing wars on our region and seeking endless conflict. Its aggression is a war crime.”

Baghaei concluded:

“Regional countries know that Israel won’t stop at any border—it seeks to ignite the entire region. We are using diplomatic tools and are in contact with the whole world. Europeans must realize that what is happening violates international norms. Israel is the first to undermine global order. While we do not have high expectations from the Security Council, we still urge it to act responsibly. Some are trying to justify Israel’s aggression and misrepresent reality. The world must hold the Zionist regime accountable for this blatant act of aggression.”
