Saed News: A young beggar in India has become famous as a "loan-giving beggar."
According to the news and analysis website Saed News, quoting Borna, there are people in our world who view begging as a profession and make a substantial profit from it — even if their income comes through improper means. One such beggar, who sits daily on the streets of Patna, India, and collects money from passersby, is so wealthy that some businesses on the same street borrow money from him.
According to the Aditi Central website, this beggar, named Pappu Kumar, has a total of $185,000 in several banks across the Indian state of Bihar. He also owns two 200-square-meter properties and doesn’t deny owning them in interviews with reporters. He says, “I’m addicted to begging. Even though I don’t need the money, I just can’t quit doing it.”
