SAEDNEWS: A Welsh couple has been living for 40 years in a place that many people on this planet—especially city dwellers—would find hard to believe.
According to Saed News, citing Bitooteh, a 64- and 60-year-old couple has been living for the past 40 years in a house located right in the middle of a busy, high-traffic roundabout. This small family, known locally as the “Bungalow,” resides at the center of a roundabout alongside the Denby A525 bypass in Derbyshire. Their tiny home sits squarely in the middle of the large circle, with only a narrow path providing access through the roundabout.
One of the residents works as an electrician and the other as a street cleaner, and they insist that the heavy traffic and constant hustle around their home have posed little problem. Over the years, they say, their biggest challenge has been having delivery drivers find their house, as many have failed to locate it. A close second is the difficulty of entering and exiting their home, as drivers navigating the roundabout rarely expect someone to maneuver in or out of a property located in the middle of it.
The media report notes that this family has become a local landmark, and the roundabout itself has even earned the nickname “Hutson’s Roundabout” among residents, after the family living at its heart.
