These ice creams are usually made with seasonal flavors like hot chocolate, hazelnut, caramel, or even citrus and ginger flavors. Not only do they have a delightful taste, but they also remind us of nostalgic and sweet childhood moments. Winter ice cream always gives a special sense of warmth and comfort, as if with every bite, you forget the cold outside and immerse yourself in a world of deliciousness. Below, you can read the ingredients and recipe for this tasty treat.

Ingredients:

  • 4 egg whites

  • 1/4 teaspoon lemon juice

  • 1 cup powdered sugar

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons gelatin powder

  • 3 tablespoons water

  • 1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • Ice cream cones or Mikado biscuits

  • 200 grams chocolate (can be dark or milk chocolate)

  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil

Instructions:

  1. Mix the gelatin and water together, then melt it using a double boiler (over steam from a kettle) until it becomes clear. Set aside to cool to room temperature.

  2. Separate the egg yolks and whites. Beat the egg whites with lemon juice using an electric mixer for 2 minutes, then gradually add the powdered sugar and continue beating for 5 to 10 minutes until thickened and whipped.

  3. While the egg whites are being beaten, place the bowl over a double boiler or steam from a kettle and continue mixing for 5 minutes. Then, add the gelatin mixture and stir again to combine.

  4. Use a round cutter or a glass to cut the ice cream cones (about 5 cm in diameter). Pipe the whipped mixture onto the cones and refrigerate for 4-5 hours.

  5. Melt the chocolate (using a double boiler method) and mix with vegetable oil. Once it has cooled slightly, pour it over the ice cream cones like shown in the video.

  6. Refrigerate for an additional 3-4 hours, then enjoy. This recipe makes around 20 ice creams, but you can halve the quantities if you prefer.
