SAEDNEWS: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian after returning from his trip to Iraq emphasized the pursuit of the objectives of his trip based on unity and cohesion of the two countries.

According to SAEDNEWS, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian recently returned from a three-day visit to Iraq, where he focused on strengthening the unity and cooperation between the two countries.

Upon his arrival at Mehrabad Airport, President Pezeshkian shared details about his trip, which included visits to six cities, including the capital, the Kurdistan region, and the holy cities in southern Iraq. He emphasized that the main goal of his visit was to foster a sense of togetherness and mutual understanding.

"The purpose of our trip was to create unity and build connections," President Pezeshkian explained. "We aimed to find common ground and communicate effectively with each other."

During his time in Iraq, the president engaged in discussions with key leaders, including the president, prime minister, parliament speaker, and various political parties. These talks focused on enhancing political, economic, cultural, and security ties between Iran and Iraq.

One significant achievement of the visit was the signing of 14 memorandums of understanding aimed at boosting cooperation. More importantly, both sides agreed to form a joint team to develop long-term strategic plans that will guide future collaborations.

President Pezeshkian also met with Iranian investors in Iraq to understand their concerns better. He assured that the Minister of Economy would work on resolving their issues. Additionally, discussions included improving transportation links with neighboring countries, aligning with the broader policies set by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution.

Overall, President Pezeshkian's visit aimed to solidify the bonds between Iran and Iraq, paving the way for future cooperation and progress.
