SAEDNEWS: The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) in a statement has reported about attacks on two vessels off the Yemeni shore.
According to SAEDNEWS, According to TASS, the UK Marine Trade Operations (UKMTO) reported an incident occurring 170 nautical miles southeast of Aden, Yemen. The captain of a merchant vessel stated that the armed security team onboard witnessed a small explosion near the ship. Fortunately, the captain confirmed that there was no damage, and all crew members are reported safe. The vessel is now continuing on its journey to the next port of call.
In a follow-up statement made on its X profile, the UKMTO addressed another incident that took place 125 nautical miles east of Aden. This situation was classified as an attack. The Company Security Officer reported that the vessel had been struck by a missile; however, there were no fires, water leaks, or oil spills observed. The vessel is also proceeding to its next destination without any reports of damage or harm to the crew.
In parallel, Yemenis have expressed their strong support for Palestine in its struggle against Israeli occupation, particularly following the outbreak of war in Gaza on October 7, when Palestinian resistance movements launched a surprise counteroffensive known as Operation Al-Aqsa Storm.
The Yemeni Armed Forces have stated their intention to continue their attacks until the relentless Israeli ground and aerial assaults on Gaza cease.
In December, the United States and Britain announced a military coalition intended to target Yemen in a move to support Israel.
