SAEDNEWS; The UK government has announced a new round of sanctions targeting senior Iranian military figures and organizations
According to SAEDNEWS, The UK government has announced a new set of sanctions aimed at high-ranking military officials and organizations in Iran.
This action comes after similar measures were taken by the US and the European Union against Iran. The sanctions are a direct response to Iran’s attack on Israel on October 1. According to the UK government’s official website, the sanctions specifically target senior leaders from the Islamic Republic of Iran Army, the Iranian Air Force, and the IRGC Intelligence Organizations.
The new sanctions package also includes the Farzanegan Propulsion Systems Design Bureau (FPSDB), which designs and manufactures components that can be utilized in cruise missile systems. Additionally, the Iranian Space Agency, known for developing technologies relevant to ballistic missile development, will also be affected.
Among those named in the sanctions are Abdolrahim Mousavi, who is the Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army and a member of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, and Mohammad-Hossein Dadras, the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army. The sanctions will enforce a travel ban and asset freeze on these individuals.
