SAEDNEWS: While traveling to Croatia, an Austrian woman unknowingly brought several insects back home. Environmental activists are now working to safely return them to their natural habitat.
According to SAEDNEWS: an animal rescue service in Austria stated in a press release that a woman, after returning from her trip to Croatia to her home in Natternbach, discovered a mother scorpion and 17 babies hidden in her suitcase while unpacking. The rescuers said they intend to return the scorpions to nature in their native country, Croatia.
The report added: "The transferred insects have been safely secured and handed over to specialized rescuers. They are currently at the Linz Animal Shelter, preparing to begin their journey back and resume their lives in Croatia."
