The Boys' Star Claudia Doumit Reveals Pressure to Get Nose Job, Speaks Out Against Beauty Standards

According to SAEDNEWS, Claudia Doumit, star of The Boys, shared that her success in Hollywood has shifted her perspective on getting a nose job. During a panel discussion at San Diego Comic-Con on July 26, the 32-year-old actress reflected on her earlier intentions to undergo cosmetic surgery in her career.

“It’s a beautiful half-Lebanese, half-Italian nose,” she stated confidently from the stage. “It’s very strong.” Doumit recounted how, from a young age, she thought, “When I book my first job, I’m going to get a nose job. I’ll earn the money for it and then go through with it.”

She revealed that the pressure to undergo plastic surgery had loomed over her for years. However, as she began to secure roles, her mindset changed. “I booked my first job and still didn’t get a nose job—I know I’m saying ‘job’ a lot,” she joked. “Then I booked another job, telling myself, ‘I’ll do it after this one,’ but I still didn’t go through with it. It just continued like that, and eventually, I realized I was landing roles just as I am. It dawned on me, ‘Oh, I don’t need a nose job because I’m getting cast based on how I look.’”

Originally hailing from Australia, Doumit gained recognition for her role in NBC's sci-fi series Timeless in 2016, later voicing the character Farah Karim in 2019's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Now, she plays Victoria Neuman, a politician with a hidden supervillain identity, in Amazon Prime's The Boys.

Doumit concluded by emphasizing her pride in her individuality, saying, “I’m doing what I love, and I’m doing it as I am. It may not fit the traditional standards of beauty that many people expect, but I find it beautiful. I want to see more women with big noses on screen—so, let’s celebrate that!”
