Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Ismail Baghaei, has criticized a CNN video compilation revisiting decades of statements by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Iran’s nuclear program.
In a message posted on the social media platform X, Baghaei referred to the CNN video documenting what he called the repeated claims made by Netanyahu about Iran’s nuclear activities since 1996.
“This is ‘mythomania’: CNN compiles three decades of Netanyahu's continuing lies about Iran's nuclear program, each time warning that Iran was very close to developing a nuclear bomb,” the senior Iranian diplomat wrote.
Iran has consistently rejected allegations that its nuclear program is intended to produce weapons, insisting that its activities are entirely peaceful.
