SAEDNEWS: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian delivered a live speech to the people on Saturday during which he stressed the need to preserve national unity among different political groups to serve the people best.

According to SAEDNEWS, In a live speech on Saturday evening, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian highlighted the importance of national unity among various political groups to effectively address the country’s economic problems. The speech was broadcast on IRIB Channel One, reaching a wide audience across television and radio networks.

This address was significant as it marked President Pezeshkian's first public speech since he took office almost a month ago as the ninth president of Iran. He expressed that the satisfaction of the people with his administration is crucial to him.

Pezeshkian urged political factions in Iran to set aside their differences for the sake of serving the public. "So far, we have made our utmost efforts to form a national unity government," he stated. His cabinet includes representatives from the previous administration of Martyr Ebrahim Raeisi, former President Hassan Rouhani, and the Reformist movement.

When asked about controlling inflation in Iran, Pezeshkian assured that his economic team is collaborating effectively to plan solutions for the economic challenges faced by the people. He emphasized that maintaining national consensus is key to addressing economic concerns.

The president also connected economic issues with foreign policy, stating that engaging in trade with neighboring countries and the global community is vital for resolving economic difficulties. He mentioned the need for strategic planning to attract foreign investment, aiming for an 8% economic growth which requires $100 billion from both domestic and international sources.

Pezeshkian announced that he will hold his first press conference with journalists next week and called for equal opportunities for students in university entrance exams. He stressed the importance of fairness in evaluating students from both developed and underdeveloped areas.

Additionally, he promised to address the challenges faced by farmers, teachers, nurses, and medical personnel in the country. Regarding his upcoming foreign trips, Pezeshkian mentioned that Iraq would be his first destination, followed by a trip to New York for the UN General Assembly meeting in September.

On the topic of social media and cyberspace, he stated that his cabinet is working on a comprehensive program to enhance the online environment for citizens.

As President Pezeshkian's administration begins, his focus on unity and strategic planning could be key in tackling the country's pressing economic issues.
