SAEDNEWS: Israeli warplanes have conducted fresh air raids on Khan Yunis governorate, in southern Gaza Strip, killing at least 19 Palestinians, some of whom were burned alive.
According to SAEDNEWS, Palestinian media reported on Wednesday that an Israeli airstrike tragically claimed the lives of eight individuals who were seeking shelter in a tent near a brick factory in Abasan al-Kabira, located east of Khan Yunis. This attack forms part of a series of bombardments that have severely impacted the region.
In addition, another airstrike on a residential home and a bustling marketplace west of Khan Yunis resulted in the deaths of four more Palestinians, with an unknown number of others suffering injuries. A separate assault near the al-Shafi'i Mosque also reported casualties, resulting in three deaths and ten injuries, as confirmed by the Gaza Civil Defense.
The violence continued with an Israeli raid on a tent in Bani Suhaila, east of Khan Yunis, which led to the deaths of three Palestinians. Disturbingly, a woman was killed when Israeli warplanes targeted a charitable soup kitchen that was providing food to those displaced by the conflict.
Reports from Qatar’s Al Jazeera indicate that many victims of the airstrikes were burned alive, highlighting the brutality of the situation. Since the onset of heightened hostilities on October 7, 2023, following Hamas's historic operation against Israeli forces, the region has witnessed escalating violence. This onset of conflict was a response to what many describe as ongoing atrocities committed against the Palestinian people.
According to the Gaza Health Ministry, the death toll in Gaza has tragically reached at least 39,677, with a significant number of the victims being women and children. Additionally, approximately 91,645 individuals have sustained injuries amidst the ongoing assaults.
In light of these events, the International Criminal Court (ICC) is pursuing arrest warrants for Israeli officials, citing war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. The situation remains dire as the international community closely monitors the unfolding humanitarian crisis.
