Israeli Strikes Hit Yemeni Capital

SAEDNEWS: The Israeli forces have hit Sana’a, the capital of Yemen, Al Masirah TV reported.

Israeli Strikes Hit Yemeni Capital

The strikes targeted an area near the presidential complex and missile bases, residents told the Reuters news agency.

Al Masirah channel has confirmed the strikes, the first to hit Sana’a since August 17, when the Israeli regime said it targeted energy infrastructure it believed was used by the Yemeni forces.

The Yemeni forces have launched missiles and drones toward Israeli sites and targeted ships in the Red Sea for more than 22 months in solidarity with the Palestinians amid the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip.

An Israeli air force official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said a projectile fired from Yemen towards the occupied territories on Friday night marked a new threat as the missile was a cluster munition —a projectile that is supposed to detonate into multiple explosives, the AP reported.
