According to SAEDNEWS, In a significant diplomatic gesture, Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad Shia al-Sudani congratulated Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on Wednesday for successfully forming his government.
A statement released by al-Sudani's office highlighted the Iraqi Prime Minister's warm wishes to Pezeshkian for "gaining the confidence of the Iranian Parliament" and taking on the responsibilities of his office.
Al-Sudani expressed optimism about the "success of the new Iranian government in fulfilling its responsibilities," while underscoring the importance of maintaining "strong bilateral relations" between Iraq and Iran.
