SAEDNEWS: Iran’s permanent mission to the United Nations in New York says in response to Israel attacks, Hezbollah will choose more and deeper targets and will not limit its response to military targets.
According to SAEDNEWS, Iran's permanent mission to the United Nations stated on Friday that Hezbollah and the Israeli regime have traditionally adhered to certain understandings regarding their military operations, which have limited their actions to border areas and shallow zones, primarily targeting military objectives.
However, the recent Israeli attack on Dahieh in Beirut and a residential building marked a significant deviation from these boundaries.
The statement warned that in response to this deviation, Hezbollah may choose to target broader and deeper areas, and not be limited to solely military objectives and means. This warning comes after the Israeli military launched an airstrike on Tuesday against a building in a suburb of Beirut, killing Fuad Shukr, a senior Hezbollah commander and advisor to the movement's Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.
Hezbollah and Israel have been engaged in an exchange of fire since October last year, following the Israeli regime's launch of a genocidal war on Gaza.
