SAEDNEWS: In a rare direct call, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman condemned U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran and vowed that Saudi—and regional—airspace will never be used against Tehran, as Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian called for peace under international frameworks.
According to Saed News, on Tuesday, 3 Tir 1404, Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian and Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman held a crisp telephone exchange focused on defusing regional tensions. In remarks carried by Ofogh TV, Prince Mohammed denounced recent U.S. and Israeli attacks on Iranian soil, stressing that “our skies—and those of our neighbours—will never open against Iran.” He also characterized the strike on the U.S. base in Qatar as a violation of that country’s sovereignty, while expressing understanding for Iran’s right to respond to aggression.
President Pezeshkian—representing a leadership keen to showcase both firmness and conciliation—thanked Riyadh for its supportive posture toward Iranian pilgrims and for standing against Israeli transgressions. He reiterated Tehran’s aim to resolve disputes with Washington within established international conventions, dismissing any notion that Iran seeks confrontation with fellow Muslim nations. “Our struggle is not with Islam,” he affirmed, “but with those who fan the flames of discord.”
Both leaders underscored a shared commitment to regional stability.
