SAEDNEWS: A senior official of the Palestinian Resistance movement Hamas said in a statement that there is no real will on the part of the United States to establish a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
According to SAEDNEWS, In a Sunday report by the Palestinian Shehab News Agency, Osama Hamdan, a senior member of Hamas, expressed serious concerns regarding the United States’ proposal concerning the Gaza conflict. He stated that the proposal does not include any ceasefire or withdrawal of troops from Gaza, which has raised further skepticism about the negotiations.
Hamdan highlighted that the discussions have yet to address the names of Palestinian prisoners, emphasizing that any potential ceasefire should include "clear criteria," including the release of these prisoners. He also accused the U.S. of trying to provide the Israeli regime with more time to conduct further attacks, referring to these actions as “more massacres.”
The negotiations, mediated by Qatar, Egypt, and the U.S., have reportedly concluded, as revealed in a joint statement issued on Friday in Doha. This announcement comes over 10 months after Operation Al-Aqsa Storm and the capture of numerous Israeli settlers by Palestinian forces.
Despite extensive military operations, the Israeli regime has not advanced the process of releasing the captured Palestinians. Instead, reports indicate that many Israeli citizens have tragically lost their lives due to Israeli air and artillery strikes on the Gaza Strip. The Health Ministry in Gaza reported an additional 69 Palestinians have been killed in recent assaults, bringing the total death toll to 40,074 since October 7, 2023, with approximately 92,537 others injured.
