According to SAEDNEWS, At 48 years old, Farzaneh Sadegh Malvajerd boasts an impressive 28 years of experience in urban planning, contributing significantly to the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development in Iran. With a solid academic foundation that includes a master’s degree in architecture from the University of Tehran and a PhD in urban planning from Islamic Azad University, she has established herself as a prominent figure in her field.
Malvajerd’s career began with her role as an expert in the architecture office, laying the groundwork for her future accomplishments. She has held various significant positions throughout her career, including director of the office for monitoring development and urban development plans, director of urban development in the General Directorate of Housing of Hamadan Province, and director general of the office of architecture and urban design. Notably, she also spent a brief period as the director of urban development and urban plans at Tehran Municipality.
On January 17, 2019, Malvajerd was appointed as the deputy minister of urban planning and architecture, a role she fulfilled until July 31, 2023. Her tenure in this position allowed her to influence policy and development strategies at a crucial level. Following her departure from the deputy ministerial role, she was appointed by Mehrdad Bazarpash as his advisor in urban planning and architecture, where she continues to leverage her expertise for the benefit of urban development initiatives.
