SAEDNEWS: Oil- and non-oil exports from Bandar Anzali port complex in the first five months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21, 2024) registered an about 46% rise, an official at Ports and Maritime Organization said.
According to SAEDNEWS, The Bandar Anzali port complex has experienced a remarkable surge in oil and non-oil exports, registering approximately a 46% increase in the first five months of the current Iranian calendar year, which began on March 21, 2024. This announcement was made by an official from the Ports and Maritime Organization.
Mojtaba Nazari, the Deputy Head of Ports and Maritime Organization of Gilan province for Ports Affairs, reported that over 854,000 tons of goods were loaded and unloaded at the Bandar Anzali Port Complex between March 21 and August 22, 2024, indicating a substantial growth compared to the same period last year.
Nazari highlighted that more than 216,000 tons of oil and non-oil products were exported to the countries bordering the Caspian Sea during this timeframe. He further noted that the port complex saw the handling of 2,357 containers (TEU) and the arrival of 294 vessels.
Among the products exported from Bandar Anzali during this period were petrochemicals, minerals, and ironware, showcasing the diverse range of goods being traded through this vital maritime hub.
