SAEDNEWS: MV Kathrin sailing from Vietnam refused permission to dock in Walvis Bay, with Namibian justice minister says her country complies with obligation not to support or be complicit in Israeli war crimes.
According to SAEDNEWS, TEHRAN, Aug. 28 (MNA) – The Namibian government has denied permission for the MV Kathrin, a ship carrying arms for Israel, to dock in Walvis Bay. This decision was confirmed by Namibia's Justice Minister, who emphasized the country’s commitment to international obligations not to support or be complicit in Israeli war crimes.
According to a report from Ynet News, the MV Kathrin was sailing from Vietnam when it was turned away from the Namibian port. The refusal to allow the ship to dock reflects Namibia's stance on the ongoing conflict in the region.
In response to this action, the Palestinian Islamic Resistance movement Hamas commended Namibia for its role in blocking the docking of the vessel, which it identified as carrying weapons intended for the "Zionist occupation regime."
This development highlights Namibia's position on the international stage regarding the Israel-Palestine conflict and showcases its adherence to principles of non-complicity in military support for actions deemed as violations of international law.
