SAEDNEWS: Apple pie is one of the most popular desserts worldwide, recognized as an international treat. This delicious dessert, with its delightful flavor, is one of the most famous choices for serving at gatherings and parties. Follow this step-by-step guide to prepare apple pie at home.
White flour: 2.5 cups
Sugar: 1 cup
Milk: ½ cup
Baking powder: 2 teaspoons
Vanilla: a pinch
Powdered sugar: 4 tablespoons
Butter: 75 grams
Eggs: 3
Vegetable oil: 50 grams
Apples: 2
Cinnamon: 1 tablespoon
Take the butter, eggs, and milk out of the fridge to bring them to room temperature. Once the butter softens, mix it with sugar in a bowl until the mixture becomes creamy in color.
After the mixture turns creamy, add a small pinch of vanilla for flavor. Be cautious not to use too much vanilla, as it can make the dessert bitter.
Add the eggs one by one to the mixture and mix well with the sugar and butter until smooth. Combine the flour with baking powder, sift it twice, and set it aside.
Gradually add the milk and half of the sifted flour to the butter mixture, mixing until well blended. Then, slowly add the remaining flour and mix until the batter is smooth and uniform.
Peel the apples and slice them into thin pieces. Set the slices aside. Prepare the baking molds for the pies by greasing them lightly or lining them with parchment paper.
Fill about one-fifth of each mold with the batter. Mix powdered sugar and cinnamon in a separate bowl, then coat the apple slices in this mixture before placing them into the molds.
Alternatively, you can place the apples in the mold first and sprinkle them with powdered sugar and cinnamon. Cover the apples with more batter, leaving about half the mold empty to allow space for the batter to rise.
Preheat the oven to 175°C (347°F) about 15 minutes before baking. Place the molds on a baking tray and bake for 30–40 minutes until the pies are puffed and fully cooked.
Allow the pies to cool slightly before removing them from the molds. Arrange them on a serving dish. You can decorate the pies with powdered sugar, ground pistachios, melted chocolate, or any topping of your choice.
