Ingredients for Coffee Pudding

  • Mother biscuits or Petit Beurre biscuits: 3 packages

  • Milk: 2 cups

  • Sugar: 1/3 cup

  • Bananas: 2

  • Breakfast cream: 100 grams

  • Butter: 25 grams

  • Cream cheese: 100 grams

  • Cornstarch: 3 tablespoons

  • Strong coffee: 1/4 cup

  • Egg yolks: 2

  • Vanilla: 1/2 teaspoon

How to Make Coffee Pudding

In a pot, combine the egg yolks, sugar, cornstarch, and a little bit of milk. Whisk them together using a hand mixer. Now, place the pot over heat, add the remaining milk, and mix until no lumps of cornstarch remain in the pudding mixture. After about 20 minutes, the pudding mixture will thicken, and the whisk marks will remain on the surface. Remove the pot from the heat. Add the vanilla and butter to the pudding mixture and stir well.

Take a little of the pudding mixture and mix it with the cream cheese until smooth, then add it, along with the cooled strong coffee and cream, to the pudding mixture and stir again.

Next, prepare the crushed biscuits, sliced bananas, and optional grated chocolate and chopped walnuts. Layer the crushed biscuits, bananas, walnuts, chocolate, and pudding mixture in the serving dish. If you prefer to serve the dessert in one large dish, you will need a 20x20 cm mold and, in that case, do not crush the biscuits. For the best flavor and texture, prepare the pudding the night before and refrigerate it.
