Spanning approximately 2,300 hectares, the Choqakhor Wetland is a stunning natural attraction. Thanks to recent favorable rainfall, the water depth has reached an impressive 1.5 meters, creating ideal conditions for wildlife and nature enthusiasts alike.

To the southwest, the Kelar Mountain Ranges rise majestically, with their highest peak reaching 3,830 meters above sea level, providing a breathtaking backdrop to the wetland. Surrounding the wetland is a vast stretch of meadows covering around 700 hectares, where the region’s humid climate offers moderate summers and cold winters, making it one of the province’s most popular summer retreats.

Choqakhor Wetland is also a haven for birdwatchers, serving as a natural habitat for a variety of species, including ducks, geese, white storks, and flamingos. Its waters are home to the resilient anchovy, a fish uniquely adapted to this ecosystem.

With its picturesque landscapes, diverse wildlife, and tranquil meadows, Choqakhor Wetland offers visitors an immersive experience of nature at its finest.
