Somalia’s Humanitarian Crisis: One of the World’s Worst🌍🔥

The combined impact of violence and climate disasters continues to uproot millions in Somalia, destroying livelihoods and leaving communities in urgent need of support.

In recent years, the frequency and intensity of these shocks have pushed large segments of the population into prolonged vulnerability . Many who were initially displaced by drought or conflict have been forced to move again due to floods or renewed violence, creating cycles of repeated displacement.

These ongoing crises have left countless people in urgent need of:

  • Shelter

  • Food

  • Healthcare

  • Protection

  • Livelihood support

In 2024, conflict remained the primary driver of internal displacement, accounting for 53% of the 477,000 displacements recorded between January and November. Overall, 3.5 million people remain displaced across Somalia, highlighting the critical need for humanitarian intervention .

This situation underscores the urgent need for coordinated support and resilient solutions to protect vulnerable communities and restore stability.
