The healthiest way to cook eggs is boiling since no oil is added in this method. A 100-gram boiled egg contains 155 calories, and each boiled egg has about 72 calories, making them a great option for people on weight-loss diets. There are several ways to boil eggs, which we will explain below:
To prepare mixed boiled eggs:
Place the egg inside a cloth and roll it up.
Tie both ends of the cloth tightly with string.
Hold both ends and spin the cloth in a circular motion to completely mix the yolk and white inside the shell.
Boil the egg as usual.
Peel the shell.
You’ll see that the yolk and white are completely blended.
To boil an egg without its shell (poached egg):
Fill a pot with water and bring it to a boil.
Add a little white vinegar or apple cider vinegar to the water. This helps prevent the egg from spreading.
Crack the egg into a small bowl without stirring it.
Stir the boiling water to create a vortex, then gently drop the egg into the center.
Sprinkle a little salt and pepper on top.
Wait 2–3 minutes for the egg white to set.
Remove the poached egg and serve with bread and sides.
To boil eggs with their shells:
Fill a pot with water.
Turn on the heat and wait for the water to boil.
Gently place the eggs into the boiling water.
Reduce the heat to low.
Be careful—placing eggs in rapidly boiling water may cause them to crack.
For soft-boiled eggs (runny yolk), boil for under 4 minutes.
For hard-boiled eggs, cook for 8 to 10 minutes.
After boiling, you can place the eggs in a bowl of cold water to make peeling easier.
Make sure the eggs are fresh and safe.
After boiling, place eggs in ice water to make peeling easier.
It’s best to consume boiled eggs the same day.
You can store boiled eggs with the shell in the refrigerator for a few days.
The fresher the egg, the harder it is to peel.
Overcooking eggs can result in an unpleasant odor.
