Saed News: On the shores of the Nile River, near the ancient monuments of Egypt, there lived an English old woman named "Omm Sety" , who was by no means an ordinary woman. Dorothy Eady, at the age of 3, died in an accident, and doctors officially declared her death.

The Only British Woman Who Mysteriously Saw the Pharaoh Up Close/ The Woman Who Claimed to Have Come from Ancient Egypt After Her Death

Saed News: According to the historical service of Saed News, Dorothy was born in 1904 on the outskirts of London. When she was only 3 years old, she fell down the stairs in an accident and was severely injured. Doctors could not help her, and she was officially declared dead. However, miraculously, this young girl woke up, and from that moment, her life changed forever!

Dorothy developed a condition known as "foreign accent syndrome" and began speaking with an odd and unfamiliar accent. In addition, many changes occurred in her personality that surprised her parents. She constantly asked her parents to take her to her home in Egypt!

Several years later, when Dorothy was still a child, her parents took her to the British Museum. When they reached the section related to Ancient Egypt, Dorothy suddenly ran toward a picture and said, "This is my home! But what happened to the gardens?" The photo depicted the Temple of Seti I, an ancient Egyptian temple from the time of Pharaoh Seti I, the father of Ramses the Great! She claimed that she had lived during this era, and this was her home!

By the age of 15, Dorothy had conducted extensive studies on Ancient Egypt and had become somewhat of a specialist and expert in that period. She had an extraordinary talent for learning Egyptian hieroglyphics and could decode symbols and signs without any difficulty. She always said that she already knew the language and was just remembering it.

In 1932, Dorothy could no longer bear being away from Egypt and moved to the country. It is said that when Dorothy first set foot on Egyptian soil, she kissed the ground and said that she had finally returned home! In Egypt, Dorothy married an Egyptian teacher named Iman Abdel Majid and had a son, whom she named Seti (after the Pharaoh). From this point on, people gradually began calling her "Omm Sety" (Mother of Seti), and she became known by this name.

Omm Sety frequently visited the pyramids and tombs of Ancient Egypt and conversed with archaeologists and historians. They were all astonished by the vast amount of information she had and could not believe that she had acquired all of it through study. Over the years, Omm Sety recalled more memories of her past life and believed that she had been a young woman named Bentresh. She claimed that at the age of 3, she had been placed in the Temple of Seti, known as Abydos, where she had grown up. Bentresh had been taught the religious practices of Ancient Egypt and had become a priestess. Priestesses in Ancient Egypt, after taking a vow, never married and dedicated themselves to their religious duties.

One day, the Pharaoh visited their temple, and Bentresh had a brief conversation with him. After this meeting, the Pharaoh and Bentresh fell in love and developed an emotional relationship. Bentresh, being a priestess, had sworn never to marry or have relations with a man. Feeling guilty, she confided in the High Priest about her love for the Pharaoh. He warned her that this relationship was against the religious laws, and she would be punished. Concerned about the potential scandal and the Pharaoh's disgrace, Bentresh took her own life before the punishment and the affair became public.

Did Omm Sety speak the truth? Now, thousands of years later, in 1956, Dorothy returned to Abydos and gradually began to recall these memories. Interestingly, she recounted this story with such detail that few could question its accuracy:

Once, Omm Sety visited the tomb of Seti I with the head of the Egyptian Department of Antiquities. This individual, who was aware of Omm Sety's story, decided to test her. She was asked to stand in complete darkness near a painted wall and then describe the details of the wall based on her memories of her past life. It is worth noting that no one had ever seen this painted wall before, and no photos or news had been published about it. Omm Sety's answers astonished everyone! Not only did she know all the details, but she also mentioned a hidden tunnel that had yet to be discovered!

What did researchers think of this? Despite their doubts, researchers and archaeologists could not prove that Omm Sety's words were lies. She possessed an incredibly detailed knowledge of Ancient Egypt and the time of Pharaoh Seti I, information that even the greatest scholars were unaware of! She helped archaeologists in many excavations and discoveries, guiding them in their work. She translated complex pieces of art and explained the meaning of mysterious Egyptian symbols. Although archaeologists never publicly acknowledged it, they used her information and, in a way, trusted her. It is said that when Nicholas Reeves was searching for the lost tomb of Nefertiti, he used insights from Omm Sety. Locals fully believed her and accepted that she had lived thousands of years ago during the time of Pharaoh Seti I!

Dorothy passed away in 1981 at the age of 77 after years of research, study, and her love for Ancient Egypt. Today, she is still remembered as a woman with vast knowledge of Ancient Egypt, hieroglyphics, and the lives of the ancient Egyptians. Whether we believe her claims or not, no one can deny her deep and comprehensive understanding of Ancient Egypt.
