Unearthed from a Secret Archive: A Rare Image of Naser al-Din Shah Qajar and His Mother, Mahd-e Olia

According to the History and Culture Service of SaedNews, citing Tarikh-e Irani, after the dismissal and brutal murder of Amir Kabir, Ezzat-od-Dowleh, who was still in mourning for her husband, married, by her mother’s command, first Mirza Kazem Khan (son of Mirza Agha Khan Nouri), then Shir Khan E’tesad-od-Dowleh, and later Yahya Khan Moshir-od-Dowleh.

Ezzat-od-Dowleh’s marriage to Amir Kabir produced two daughters, Taj-al-Molouk and Hamdam-al-Molouk, who respectively married their cousins, Mozaffar ad-Din Mirza (the future Mozaffar ad-Din Shah) and Masoud Mirza (the future Zil-Sultan). In this way, Mohammad Ali Shah was a shared descendant of Naser al-Din Shah, Amir Kabir, and Ezzat-od-Dowleh.
