**Saed News:** An American media outlet, citing informed sources, reported that Iran and the United States are on the verge of reaching a comprehensive agreement.
According to the political desk of the Saed News analytical news outlet, CNN, citing informed sources, reported that the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran are nearing a comprehensive agreement that may be signed in the next round of talks.
According to Mehr News, these sources, without providing specific details, claimed that the upcoming round of negotiations between the two sides will most likely be held in the Middle East.
These developments come as consultations aimed at resolving points of contention—especially regarding nuclear issues and sanctions—have intensified in recent weeks between Iran and the U.S.
It is worth noting that the fifth round of indirect talks between Iran and the U.S. was held on May 25 in Rome, mediated by Oman.
In this round, the Iranian delegation was led by Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi, alongside Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi, Deputy for Legal Affairs Kazem Gharibabadi, and Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei. They met with the U.S. delegation headed by Steve Witkoff, Washington’s chief negotiator.
The negotiations took place at the residence of the Sultanate of Oman’s ambassador in Rome, underscoring Muscat’s central role in facilitating this process.
