**Saed News:** The story of the meeting between Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelensky, the presidents of the U.S. and Ukraine, is still fresh. As we journalists say, it hasn’t yet burned out or gone stale.
According to the political service of Saed News, quoting the Javan newspaper, we see that the nervous reactions of some domestic and foreign politicians, as well as the satirical comments of some online activists, have only just begun. It is clear that this event is still playing with everyone’s minds.
The reality is that most observers, after witnessing the highly humiliating language used by Trump and his vice president towards the president of a European country, believe that Zelensky was completely finished in this incident, and the U.S. cemented its position as an unrivaled power. However, this game has other visible and hidden players—both current and future—including China, Russia, and Europe.
If you look closely, you will see that Zelensky, in this meeting with a figure as tyrannical as Trump and his vice president, spoke with remarkable confidence and composure. Even as they behaved aggressively, he kept his hands clasped, fully aware that the media cameras were broadcasting these images to the entire world. He stood firm throughout the ordeal and did not falter (regardless of what comes next), at least on the surface, in defending his nation’s interests. Having previously stood resolute against a powerful figure like Putin, Zelensky’s popularity has likely surged among two key groups: the people of his country and the leaders of European nations, who were already dissatisfied with Putin and now, perhaps even more so, with Trump.
With these two major advantages, Zelensky is far from finished—his real political career may have only just begun. Especially since, at the end of this meeting, the agreement to grant Ukraine’s valuable mines to Trump fell apart and was not signed. The self-absorbed businessman at the heart of our story left empty-handed, while Zelensky managed to gain even stronger European support. Perhaps the sheer frustration of the American side in this matter stems from this very loss.
In reality, apart from publicly humiliating a president in front of the cameras, Trump did not gain anything. Now, Macron can support Zelensky with greater confidence, London will strengthen its ties with him, and Europe will act more united—and more independent—on the Ukraine issue. This is not something that can naively be seen as Zelensky’s defeat.
Some believe that the level of strength and confidence displayed by the White House guest was almost unbelievable, leading them to suspect that the event was pre-planned and, as some domestic opposition figures put it, "staged by themselves!" This possibility exists, but rather than being coordinated with the U.S., it seems more likely that the planning was done with Europe, which has suffered under Trump. Continued European support for Ukraine may well have been conditioned on Zelensky’s resilience and steadfastness in the face of this rampaging bully. Particularly when considering that this meeting did not yield the material gains the U.S. had expected. Contrary to Trump’s belief, restoring America’s past global dominance is an impossible task, especially as the world rapidly moves toward a new multipolar order where China and Europe are key players.
However, the most important and noteworthy point is that Trump has suffered an even greater and more serious defeat in this game: he has inadvertently revealed his true, unfiltered self. Now, those who once saw their salvation and success in aligning with the "great master" rather than with European powers—if they possess even a shred of intelligence and honor—should step back, remain silent, and reflect. They must acknowledge how far they still have to go to be considered even minimally competent national politicians.
This is not a Hollywood-recreated image of the Pharaoh of our time; this is the raw face of a ruthless, untrustworthy businessman—a perfect lesson for independent and even dependent world leaders, especially the many Arab and Islamic countries that, based on his repeated promises, have lined up to reconcile with the "Great Satan" and the illegitimate entity known as Israel. They remain unaware of their doomed and fruitless future—the very future that the wise leader of the Islamic Revolution warned them (and us) about exactly three years ago, on the 10th of Esfand 1400:
"Western powers’ support for countries and governments that are their puppets is an illusion; it is not real. Let all governments understand this."
So take heed, O people of insight.
