SAEDNEWS: The law on the accession of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the International Convention for the Suppression of the Financing of Terrorism has been communicated by the President to the relevant executive bodies.
According to the Political Desk of Saed News, Masoud Pezeshkian, in a letter dated October 21, 2025, to the relevant executive bodies, communicated the law on the accession of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the International Convention for the Suppression of the Financing of Terrorism, which was approved in a public session of the Islamic Consultative Assembly (Parliament).
In the text of the presidential notification addressed to the Judiciary, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Intelligence, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance, and the Central Bank, it states:
"In implementation of Article 123 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran, attached herewith is the 'Law on the Accession of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the International Convention for the Suppression of the Financing of Terrorism,' which was approved in the public session on Wednesday, December 5, 2018, of the Islamic Consultative Assembly. On October 1, 2025, the Expediency Discernment Council approved it with the amendment of Condition (1) and confirmation of Conditions (2) and (6) under the single article, as well as Part (B) of Clause (1) of Article 5, Articles 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 of Clause (1) of Article 10, Clauses (1), (2), (3), (4), and (5) of Article 11, Clauses (1), (2), and (3) of Article 12, Articles 13, 14, and 15 of Clause (1) of Article 16, and Articles 17, 18, and 19 of the Convention, in accordance with Article 112 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran as deemed expedient for the system. It was received via letter No. 345/58032 dated October 18, 2025, from the Islamic Consultative Assembly and is hereby communicated for implementation.
According to Article 125 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the implementation of the aforementioned Convention is conditional upon completing the procedures outlined in Article 26 of the said Convention."
