According to Saeed News, Kazem Gharibabadi, Deputy for Legal and International Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, held a telephone conversation with Ma Zhaoxu, Vice Minister and Executive Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of China, on Friday evening.

According to the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two sides in this conversation, which was held at the request of the Iranian side, mainly exchanged views on the Iranian nuclear issue.

In a statement, the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized: In his remarks, Ma Zhaoxu stressed that the Iranian nuclear issue has once again reached a critical crossroads. China hopes that the relevant parties will remain committed to addressing this issue through political and diplomatic means, and actively create conditions for the early resumption of dialogue and negotiation.

The statement added that the Chinese side also emphasized: Beijing will continue to maintain an objective and fair position, actively promote negotiations for peace, and play a constructive role in this regard.

According to this statement, Kazem Gharibabadi also expressed his appreciation for China’s important contributions to advancing a political and diplomatic resolution of the Iranian nuclear issue, and stated that Tehran is willing to continue strengthening communication and coordination with China.

On Friday, Gharibabadi also announced his talks with his Chinese counterpart on the social network X, writing: The Chinese Vice Foreign Minister stressed the necessity of a political and diplomatic settlement of the issues and affirmed that China will continue its constructive role in this regard.
