SAEDNEWS: Iranian Foreign Minister held discussions with Armenian and Russian representatives, stressing Tehran’s commitment to regional peace, stability, and protection of national interests in the Caucasus.

Araghchi: Iran Will Closely Guard Against Any Projects Threatening Its Connectivity or National Interests

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in an Instagram report regarding his meetings yesterday at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, wrote: “On Wednesday, 22 Mordad [August 13], I welcomed the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and the Special Representative of the Russian Foreign Minister for Caucasus affairs.”

He added: “During these meetings, international issues were discussed, with a particular focus on political developments in the Caucasus region.”

He emphasized: “Once again, I underlined that the Islamic Republic of Iran, while supporting the establishment of peace and stability in relations among neighboring countries, pays special attention to maintaining the geopolitical stability of the region and protecting its national interests. We are particularly sensitive to any plan or project that could limit our access routes or compromise our national benefits.”
