SAEDNEWS: Iranian Foreign Minister Sayyed Abbas Araghchi described the Israeli regime’s military aggression—carried out in coordination with the United States in the midst of Tehran-Washington negotiations—as a grave blow to the principle of diplomacy.
According to Saednews, During a telephone conversation with his Greek counterpart Giorgos Gerapetritis on Tuesday, Araghchi called the Israeli and US attacks a flagrant violation of the United Nations Charter and international law.
He said the strikes breached Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, stressing that all governments must condemn the raids.
Araghchi cautioned that indifference toward the blatant violations by Israel and the US—including their breaches of the Non-Proliferation Treaty and UN Security Council Resolution 2231—would have irreparable consequences for international peace and security.
The Iranian foreign minister also said the continuation of the Israeli regime’s “impunity” regarding its atrocities across the region—particularly the regime's genocide in Gaza—has further fueled instability in West Asia.
He described Iran’s retaliatory operations against the Zionist regime and Washington as an exercise of the inherent right of self-defense in accordance with Article 51 of the UN Charter.
Araghchi affirmed that Tehran stands fully prepared to respond to any renewed onslaught.
