John Kerry: You Cannot Erase Iran's Nuclear Knowledge With Bombs

John Kerry: You Cannot Erase Iran's Nuclear Knowledge With Bombs

Saednews, John Kerry, former U.S. Secretary of State, in an interview with PBS, warned about the consequences of a military attack on Iran and emphasized that the current crisis not only has no military solution, but its continuation could expose the world to increasing dangers.*

He said:
"This issue can continue, become uglier and more dangerous, and its global consequences will be broader. There is no military solution for this matter."

Kerry went on to express hope that recent U.S. and Israeli actions against Iran’s nuclear facilities were mostly symbolic and politically motivated, rather than a decisive military response, serving merely as a tool to ease domestic pressures.

He stressed that Donald Trump must "act with full caution and prudence" and pursue the path back to negotiations, because after the U.S. withdrawal from the JCPOA, crucial oversight and insights into Iran’s nuclear activities have been lost.

Referring to the advantages of the JCPOA, which was concluded during Obama’s presidency, Kerry continued:
"With the nuclear agreement, we had full awareness of Iran’s activities. Their progress in key areas was completely halted, and we shut down their plutonium reactor."

Kerry also emphasized the complexity of bringing Iran back to the negotiating table, saying:
"Iran is a very proud nation; in my negotiations, I realized the level of national pride there is very high. But at the same time, they are committed to the destruction of Israel, which is part of their cultural and even religious policy."

He warned that no attack can erase Iran’s nuclear knowledge and expertise:
"You cannot bomb the memory of how to build a bomb. You cannot destroy the knowledge they have gained. The technicians who have worked on this project for years, if ordered by the leadership, will return to work again."

Kerry concluded by warning that continuing on a military path will only strengthen the important political and military pillars of Iran, saying:
"And this scenario will be bad for no one — neither Iran, nor the U.S., nor the region."

The Zionist regime, under the pretext of fighting Iran’s nuclear program and with Donald Trump’s green light, has invaded the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran, while Iranian officials were undergoing indirect negotiations with the United States and had repeatedly emphasized that Iran’s nuclear program is entirely peaceful and that Iran has never sought to build atomic weapons.

Previously, many Western analysts, experts, and even U.S. intelligence assessments have acknowledged that following the recent U.S. and Israeli attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities, Iran’s nuclear program has only been delayed by a few months.
