Israel Has Been Planning for War with Iran for 30 Years

Saed News: On Sunday, June 15, 2025, the war that Israel launched against Iran at dawn on Friday, June 13, is in fact an attempt to use the most modern American military equipment and the world’s most advanced weapons to destroy Iran’s defensive, nuclear, scientific infrastructure and indigenous capabilities.

Israel Has Been Planning for War with Iran for 30 Years

According to Saed News, it has now become clear that the U.S. negotiation plan was not intended to reach an understanding with Iran, but rather served as a prelude to Israel’s military attack on Iran—an attempt by the U.S. and Israel to avenge the Iranian people for toppling the Shah’s dependent regime. After the Islamic Revolution, the U.S. and Israel may have hoped that Saddam’s invasion of Iran would severely weaken the country and prevent its rise in the region. But they saw that this did not happen—on the contrary, Iran continued its path of reconstruction, development, and growth.

Therefore, Israel had long ago decided to go to war with Iran. After the passing of Imam Khomeini, it resolved to establish a massive covert intelligence and operational network inside Iran to act against it. Based on this plan, Israel began gathering intelligence on Iran’s defense capabilities, IRGC commanders, and nuclear scientists roughly 30 years ago.

Even before uranium enrichment began in Iran, Israel had started operations inside the country, targeting key individuals for assassination—chief among them, nuclear scientists. Now, Israel aims to destroy the backbone of Iran’s power in both the defense and nuclear sectors. Netanyahu launched his war against Iran by simultaneously assassinating a large number of top IRGC commanders and nuclear scientists, targeting them and their families in their homes—causing a national tragedy. These martyrs were a vast source of experience from the Iran-Iraq War and had remained committed to the struggle and defense of the Islamic Revolution and Iran.

In recent days, Israel has also attacked all of Iran’s enrichment facilities and missile and air defense bases, seeking to drag the United States into war. The U.S. has fully supported Israel's war on Iran, granting its warplanes access to Iraqi airspace and using its military power to counter Iranian missiles launched in response toward occupied Palestine.

In any case, as the Iranian people now witness Israel's crimes up close and sense that Israel intends to “Gaza-ize” Iran, they have mobilized against these atrocities. Even many Iranians abroad have taken a stand against Israel. As such, the Iranian government can now make important decisions to boost social capital and pursue an exit strategy from the war, frustrating Israel’s intent to prolong the conflict, and demonstrating to Trump that war will not bring the Iranian people to their knees or make them submit.

Ultimately, God willing, Israel will taste the bitter defeat of war against Iran, and the Islamic Republic will continue with greater strength on its righteous path to fulfill the ideals of Imam Khomeini.
