Saed News:A strange gift from an Indian comedian to a bride and groom has become a media sensation.
According to the Saed News website, quoting Young Journalists Club (YJC):
With the arrival of wedding season in India, unusual wedding stories occasionally make headlines. Recently, after news of a groom’s horse running away during a ceremony went viral, another bizarre wedding incident has caught media attention—a strange gift from a guest to the bride and groom.
Can you guess what the gift was? Gasoline. Yes, you read that right. The guest gifted the couple 5 liters of petrol. This unusual gift was presented at a wedding ceremony held in a region of Tamil Nadu state. According to local Indian media, the guest was a comedian named Maile Sami, who had been invited to the wedding. After several guests had offered their gifts, it was Maile Sami’s turn. In front of the stunned attendees, he presented the bride and groom with two containers filled with petrol.
Reportedly, Maile Sami's gesture was a symbolic protest against the recent hike in fuel prices in the state. The local government had recently increased the price of petrol by 3 rupees per liter. Images of the moment he presented the gift quickly went viral on social media.
It’s worth mentioning that this comedian has appeared in various Bollywood films such as Ghilli and Kanchana, and he has also hosted a popular television program on the Sun TV network.
